Just in time for the fall sports season, Texas Orthopedics is excited to announce the arrival of Dr. Jason Somogyi. Dr. Somogyi is a fellowship-trained orthopedic surgeon specializing in the hand, elbow and shoulder.
He joins our expert team of hand and wrist specialists including Drs. Foster, Hardy and Stewart. Dr. Somogyi will treat those affected by:
- Carpal Tunnel Syndrome
- Hand and wrist fractures
- Trigger finger
- Arthritis
- Ganglion cysts
- Shoulder and other sports injuries
Dr. Somogyi originally hails from Illinois where he grew up as a three-sport athlete. He graduated from Illinois Wesleyan University and earned academic all-conference in varsity soccer. Dr. Somogyi later pursued his medical degree at the Loyola University Stritch School of Medicine, followed by a residency at the University of Chicago. He continued his medical training by being selected for the prestigious AO Hand Trauma fellowship at the Eberhard Karls University of Tübingen, Germany.
Dr. Somogyi comes to Texas Orthopedics from Fort Hood, where he had the honor of providing upper extremity care to soldiers, veterans, and their families. Additionally, he has volunteered his expertise on medical missions to help patients in El Salvador, Vietnam, and Peru.
In his spare time, Dr. Somogyi enjoys spending time with his wife and family, cheering on any and all sports, and scoping out new restaurants around town.
