Dr. Kancherla is a board-certified Interventional Physiatrist and fellowship-trained spine specialist. His expertise lies in restoring function and optimizing performance in those patients with spine, joint, muscle and nerve pain. He believes that a series of small steps can yield massive improvements.
Dr. Kancherla is committed to the doctor-patient relationship. His patient care philosophy has been to treat each patient as he would any of his own family members. Prior to coming to Austin he was a member of the spine care team for the Washington Commanders National Football League franchise.
While in Austin, he has been recognized as one of Austin Monthly’s Top Doctors in 2015, 2017-2022 and 2024. He has also received the Vitals.com Patient’s Choice Award in 2015, 2016 and 2018. He has been designated a Castle Connolly Regional Top Doctor, and in 2018 was awarded a compassionate doctor certification, granted to physicians who treat their patients with the utmost kindness. Meet Lauren Fraijo, PA-C
Lauren Fraijo is a Physician Assistant working with Dr. Kancherla as part of his medical team. Lauren earned her Bachelor of Science degree from Arizona State University and her Master of Physician Assistant Studies from Midwestern University in Glendale, Arizona. During her studies, Lauren completed a clinical rotation in pain management.
Prior to joining Texas Orthopedics, Lauren worked as a Physician Assistant at a physical medicine and pain center in a similar role. Lauren’s passion is to help patients restore their function and improve their quality of life.
Prior to PA school, she worked as an EMT at a pain center. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her husband and dogs.
