Imaging Services: MRI, X-Ray, and Bone Density Testing
Texas Orthopedics is fully equipped with state-of-the-art on-site imaging equipment to help our orthopedic doctors, physiatrists, and rheumatologists diagnose and treat muscle, nerve, bone, tendon, ligament, and cartilage injuries and conditions.
By providing on-site imaging, our specialists can diagnose patients with urgent needs quickly, or offer patients with less urgent needs conveniently located imaging services under one roof.
Be sure to bring any CDs with previous diagnostic images performed by another physician to your appointment.
Our on-site diagnostic imaging assessments include:
Magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) is an outpatient imaging procedure that produces detailed views of internal structures, including soft tissues. MRI helps doctors check for abnormalities and diagnose injuries and conditions. MRI is a painless procedure that simply requires that patients remain still while the images are taken.
We are proud to offer our MRI services at three of our locations, Northwest Austin, South Austin, and Cedar Park locations. All of our MRI facilities are nationally accredited by the American College of Radiology.
Bone density testing is an imaging evaluation used to help diagnose osteoporosis and assess bone integrity after the use of certain medications or in relation to some medical conditions. Bone density testing is a short painless outpatient imaging procedure.
Bone density testing is available at our Northwest Austin location.
