Each year, Super Doctors asks physicians from across the state to nominate colleagues they know and trust as providers in their specified field. Candidates are then evaluated by private research on 10 key indicators of peer recognition and professional achievements including years of experience, hospital appointments, professional achievements, academic positions, and publications & lectures to name a few. A panel comprised of top-scoring doctors is asked to review and evaluate the nominees in their fields. Only the highest-scoring physicians are included in the Super Doctors list, which makes up approximately 5% of the doctors within their respective state or region.
2021 Super Doctors Rising Stars®
The Super Doctors Rising Stars list consists of candidates that have been active and fully licensed to practice for 10 years or less. The selection process does not include years of experience but all other evaluations are considered. Typically, only 2.5% of all active Texas physicians are recognized.
