Ryan Taylor, MD, is a board-certified orthopedic surgeon who specializes in the treatment of traumatic orthopedic injuries of the upper and lower extremities. He is highly trained in both the surgical and nonsurgical management of long bone fractures, periarticular fractures, fractures of the pelvis and acetabulum, periprosthetic fractures, nonunions, malunions, and infections. Dr. Taylor is also certified in both robotic total hip and total knee replacements.
Dr. Taylor was born and raised in San Antonio, Texas where he attended Central Catholic High School. He then received his undergraduate degree from Dartmouth College in Hanover, New Hampshire, where he majored in biophysical chemistry and psychology. He received his medical degree from the University of Texas Southwestern Medical School, and subsequently completed a five-year orthopedic surgery residency at the University of Pennsylvania. There he served as an administrative chief resident and received the DeForest Willard Award for the most outstanding chief resident. After residency, he completed a fellowship in orthopedic traumatology at the University of Texas Health Science Center in Houston.
Dr. Taylor is a member of the Orthopaedic Trauma Association, the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons, and AO Trauma North America. In addition, he has published multiple peer reviewed papers, abstracts, and book chapters focused on the care of the orthopedic trauma patient. Dr. Taylor lives in Round Rock with his wife and four young sons and enjoys hiking, biking, camping, traveling and spending time with his family.
Dr. Taylor has been voted by his peers and recognized by Austin Monthly as a Top Doctor in 2024.

Meet Joshua Brooks, PA-C
Josh Brooks is an exceptional Orthopedic Physician Assistant specializing in orthopedic trauma and joint reconstruction. Currently, he serves as Lead PA at St. David’s Round Rock Medical Center, a Level 2 trauma center, utilizing his vast experience from Methodist Dallas Medical Center’s Level 1 trauma unit. After completing his BS in Biochemistry at McMurry University, Josh pursued a Master of Physician Assistant Studies at Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center. Renowned for his superior clinical and surgical skills coupled with an extraordinary bedside manner, Josh is a valued professional in his field. His memberships in honor and professional societies, active DEA and Texas PA licensures, and Basic Life Support Certification reflect his unwavering dedication to healthcare. Beyond his professional accomplishments, Josh is an avid golfer, enjoying the sport in his spare time.
