We are excited to announce the upcoming relocation of our Cedar Park office to our new Leander location at Pointe 183, which will be completed in early 2025. Michael D. Loeb, MD, is a board-certified, fellowship-trained Orthopedic Surgeon with Texas Orthopedics. Dr. Loeb earned his undergraduate degree at the University of Texas, Austin and his medical degree at Louisiana State University Health Sciences Center, New Orleans. Following medical school, he completed his Orthopedic Surgery residency at the University of Tennessee Health Science Center – Campbell Clinic, Germantown, TN. In addition, he obtained his fellowship training in shoulder, elbow, and sports-related injuries in Zurich, Switzerland; Pretoria, Republic of South Africa and the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, MN.
Dr. Loeb specializes in joint replacement surgery, shoulder arthroscopy and elbow injuries. He also has a special interest in sports injuries and advanced joint reconstruction of the upper extremities. As an Orthopedic Surgeon, he strives to provide patients with the highest quality orthopedic care by offering up-to-date, scientifically supported treatment methods, including surgical and non-surgical solutions.
Dr. Loeb has co-authored several scientific articles for peer-reviewed publications, including the Journal of Shoulder and Elbow Surgery. In addition, he has lectured on sports-related injuries of the shoulder and served as an instructor at international courses on shoulder surgery. Dr. Loeb is an active member of the teaching faculty of Dell Medical School’s Orthopaedic Surgery Residency Program. In addition, he volunteers his time to local high schools and colleges and he is the official team physician to McCallum High School.
He has been named by his peers to the Texas Monthly Super Doctors Rising Stars list in 2013 and 2014 and the Texas Monthly Super Doctors list in 2019, 2020 and 2022 – 2024.
