Exciting Practice Update!
We are excited to announce the upcoming relocation of our Cedar Park office to our new Leander location at Pointe 183, which will be completed in January 2025. Until this new location is ready, our physicians will continue to provide you with comprehensive care out of our other existing locations as our Cedar Park office located at 1401 Medical Parkway B, Ste 120 will be closed effective October 30, 2024. Dr. Robert Koval, Jr. is a Rheumatologist who is board-certified in both Internal Medicine and Rheumatology. At Texas Orthopedics, he specializes in treating autoimmune and inflammatory disorders that affect the bones, muscles, and joints. These conditions include osteoporosis, and rheumatoid arthritis. Many patients with particularly challenging cases of arthritis have been referred to Dr. Koval for an evaluation. With his expertise in the field, patients benefit from effective solutions that can enhance their condition and quality of life.
Dr. Koval completed his undergraduate degree from the University of Texas in Austin, and his medical degree from the University of Texas Medical School at Houston. He completed both his residency in Internal Medicine and his fellowship training in Rheumatology at the University of Colorado in Denver.
In addition to seeing patients at Texas Orthopedics, he volunteers as a consultant at the Samaritan Health Ministries in Cedar Park. Outside of his medical practice, he enjoys spending time with his wife Erin and their two young children, as well as, watching and attending sporting events (Hook’em Horns!), traveling, and many outdoor activities.
Dr. Koval was voted by his peers to the Texas Monthly Super Doctors Rising Stars list in 2018-2020, and the Super Doctors list in 2021 through 2024. He was also recognized as a Top Doctor by Austin Monthly in 2022, 2023 and 2024.

Nurse Practitioner for Dr. Robert Koval
Megan Passe, FNP-C comes to Texas Orthopedics with 15 years of general family practice experience in the Cedar Park and Leander area. She graduated from the University of Texas in Austin with both her Bachelor’s of Science in Nursing and her Master’s of Science in Nursing and proudly displays her Hook’Em Horns! Megan is excited to join Dr. Robert Koval and Texas Orthopedics and serve her community in a new realm.
Megan lives in Leander with her husband and three very active children and enjoys watching them participate in sports, dance and piano. In her free time she enjoys running, playing soccer, reading, traveling, learning the piano and scuba diving when she can get away.
